WELCOMERS
This ministry is vital to congregations in St Teresa’s. Welcomers stand by the door, smiling and greeting, and making sure people get the papers/books they need for that Mass. When new children arrive they offer them children’s books or colouring materials. If you can help with this ministry please contact Fr Clive.
ALTAR SERVERS
For boys and girls who have made their First Holy Communion. They receive training by the parish priest. For more information, please contact Fr Clive
READERS
Readers work from a rota, prepared in advance.
There are normally two readers per mass: one to read the First Reading, and one to read the Second Reading and the Prayers of the Faithful.
Anyone who is willing to take on this ministry, please contact: Keith.
CANTORS
Cantors lead the Responsorial Psalm and the Gospel Acclamation. They work closely with the organists. If you can offer your services, please contact Alison.
ORGANISTS
St Teresa’s have five organists who take turns playing the Sunday Mass parts and hymns. More are always welcome, so if you can offer your services this would be much appreciated, especially at Feast Days and during Holy Week. Please contact Alison or Fr Clive.
OTHER MUSICIANS
Other musicians (eg guitarists) who can help with occasional Children’s Masses are also very welcome. Just introduce yourself!
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION
Ministers receive training by the parish priest. They help distribute communion during mass and also bring the eucharist to the housebound. They work from a rota, prepared in advance. Anyone interested in this ministry please contact Fr Clive.
